Venture Academy Earns Full Cognia Accreditation

Dear Venture Families and Friends,

I am pleased to share an exciting milestone in Venture Academy’s history. Venture Academy has officially been awarded Full Accreditation by the Cognia Global Commission, effective June 24, 2026.

This recognition represents more than the completion of a process; it is an independent affirmation of the exceptional work taking place each day at Venture Academy. Cognia accreditation is awarded to schools that demonstrate a strong commitment to educational quality, continuous improvement, effective leadership, and student success.

Over the past two years, our faculty, staff, leadership team, and Board of Directors have invested significant time and effort evaluating every aspect of our school against Cognia’s high standards of education. Through this rigorous review process, we examined our academic programs, instructional practices, operational systems, school culture, and long-term vision.

Our Cognia consultant, Dr. Vanessa Maran, visited Venture last fall, interviewed students, parents, staff, and observed classrooms. Her evaluation affirmed the dedication, excellence, and commitment demonstrated by our entire Venture community. Prior to Dr. Maren’s visit, Venture submitted a 2,100-page self-study, which Cognia extensively reviewed.

For families, Full Accreditation provides confidence that Venture Academy has been independently evaluated against nationally and internationally recognized standards. It reflects our commitment to providing students with an exceptional Christ-centered education while continually seeking opportunities to grow and improve.

Cognia has been accrediting educational institutions for more than 130 years and currently supports more than 34,000 accredited schools worldwide. Cognia’s rigorous standards evaluate areas including instructional quality, learning culture, leadership capacity, financial sustainability, and operational effectiveness.

While we celebrate this achievement, accreditation is not the end of our work; rather, the work continues through ongoing school improvement. As part of this continuum of assessment and improvement, Venture will host a full-team, multi-day review visit in spring 2028.

This accomplishment belongs to our entire community. Thank you to our faculty and staff for their dedication, our Board of Directors for their leadership, and our families for their trust and partnership.

Together, we will continue building a school where students are known, challenged, and prepared to thrive.

With gratitude,

Brian Sullivan
Head of School
