Robotics, Innovation, and Preparing Students for the Future
Recently, our STEAM & Innovation Teacher, Sarah Steinke, attended the VEX Educators Conference, held alongside the VEX IQ World Championship competition. The conference provided hands-on training with VEX IQ robotics, coding, and troubleshooting while also allowing educators to observe some of the top student robotics teams in the world.
Throughout the event, Sarah connected with educators from across the country and gained valuable insight into launching and growing a robotics program at Venture Academy. One of the most impactful experiences was participating in coding workshops focused on problem-solving, collaboration, and perseverance, skills that directly align with Venture’s mission of empowering Christ-centered leaders, designers, and innovators.
“Having these robots is just another tool to help our students grow into leaders, designers, and innovators of the future,” Sarah shared.
As Venture continues expanding STEAM opportunities, experiences like this equip staff with new ideas and practical tools that strengthen hands-on learning and prepare students for the future.
