Shawn Neal

Director of IT/Ed Tech Strategist

Shawn Neal brings over 25 years of IT experience to our school, offering a wealth of knowledge and expertise. A Chippewa Valley resident since 2019, Shawn was born in Spooner but spent most of his school years in Southern Wisconsin. His career includes independent business ownership and IT management for various companies. During this time, he has served as a tech lead in those businesses undergoing new construction, migrations, mergers, and acquisitions.

Shawn’s diverse background in IT extends across various industries, including internet services, retail, and distribution and manufacturing in the dairy industry. He has served on the Technology Advisory Board for the World Dairy Expo. He has been on numerous mission trips including church building in Peru, outreach in inner cities, leader in youth groups, and volunteering at OneFest and Jacob’s Well. He extends his passion for community through volunteering at the Beaver Dam Chamber, coaching wrestling, and helping to create the Beaver Dam Youth Wrestling Club Board of Directors.

Outside of work, Shawn has been married to his lovely wife, Sarah, for over 23 years and is a proud father of two teenagers, with his son graduating at the top of his class and pursuing Pre-Med at UW-Madison and a daughter who is currently a Freshman at Chi-Hi. He and his family have attended Jacob’s Well since 2019.

In his free time, Shawn enjoys tinkering with numerous gadgets and has upgraded his home to be an automated smart home. He also delights in flying drones, 3D printing, live music, Marvel movies, cooking food in his smoker, and exploring Wisconsin wineries. His self-proclaimed superpower is being a 5-star Uber driver.
