Outdoor Education Director
Ben brings 9 years of experience in outdoor education to his role as our Outdoor Education Director. He is a wilderness first responder who has led backcountry expeditions up to 16 days long with people of all ages, including those with developmental trauma. Ben believes in using the outdoors to help others grow, overcome challenges, and connect with nature and peers.
Originally from Eau Claire, Ben has also lived in Ely and Duluth, MN, where he studied Outdoor Education. He volunteers with the Youth Group and invests as a role model for the high school boys’ group. He is known for his playful approach and ability to use games to connect with others.
In his free time, Ben enjoys camping, canoeing, campfires, swimming, board games, and longboarding. His superpower is being goofy and using games to create inclusive and supportive environments. Ben’s energy and enthusiasm make him a valuable member of our school community.
