Venture’s Lower School Principal

We’re excited and honored to announce the recent addition of local elementary educator Matt Marusak to the team! Matt assumes the role of Lower School Principal for grades K-5, bolstering the efforts of the current 12-member design team to plan and prepare for the launch of the school in the fall of 2024.

Matt was born and raised in mid-west Wisconsin and has nine years of teaching experience in the Eau Claire Area School District. He is a University of Wisconsin-Stout honors graduate and an avid outdoors enthusiast. Outside the classroom, Matt has fostered development and sportsmanship in student-athletes as a coach and WIAA official. He now lives in the Chippewa Valley with his wife and two young sons.

Matt remarked about joining the Venture team, “I’m thrilled to begin my 10th year in education as Lower School Principal for Venture Academy. I bring with me nine years of teaching experience, including behavior management and instructional technology. I’m excited about the unique vision of Venture, and I’m eager to begin building a school culture that inspires teachers to empower Christ-centered leaders and support families as we prepare the next generation. Venture Academy will chart a new course for education in the Chippewa Valley.”

Venture Academy is overseen by a board of directors and championed by the Head of School, Brian Sullivan. Brian has over 35 years of experience in innovative Christian education, most recently including a tenure as Head of School at the award-winning Maranatha Christian Academy in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota.
